Job Description
1. Work closely with cross-functional teams to lead the NPI process for new products, ensuring schedules and quality objectives are consistently met.
2. Establish standards for design and manufacturing reviews, including DFM, NUDD, FMEA, and APQP.
3. Define criteria for process validation and tooling verification.
4. Collaborate with design engineers and manufacturing teams from initial design reviews through trial runs and product launch.
Professional Competencies
1. Strong understanding of IPC standards.
2. Experience in EMS/ODM/OEM environments, particularly in one or more of the following areas (testing/trouble shooting/rework-related experience preferred):
SMT processes, testing/troubleshooting/PCBA rework, de-paneling/routing, casing/enclosure assembly, underfill/dispensing/conformal coating, etc.
3. Background in NPI product or process engineering.
4. Preferred experience with DFX, DOE, SPC, FMEA, APQP, MSA, and production tooling/fixture design and verification.
5. Proficiency in written and spoken English, with good communication skills for working with global teams.
6. Be able to travel abroad and support project and process transfers for an extended period.
